Join us for an exciting track day at Atlanta Motorsports Park! With over an hour and 40 minutes of seat time, you'll experience the thrill of high-performance driving on one of the most iconic race tracks in the country. Whether you're a seasoned driver or new to the track, this event promises an unforgettable day of fast laps, friendly competition, and unforgettable memories. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience Road Atlanta!

Roster spots are limited so register early! Entry fee for this event is $375, and continues rain or shine. Beginner's group will be Miatas only registration until July 1, if spots are open in green after July 1, other makes and models can sign up in that run group. Novice Solo, Intermediate, and Advanced will be all makes and models welcome, all drivers welcome (18 and older)!

If you have a lifted Miata and want to take it off-roading then this is the run for you! We will be driving to Cades Cove where we will stop for a bit to check out the area. Then we will drive through to Parsons Branch Rd and continue to the Tail of the dragon. This will be a 3+ hr trip so please bring anything you may need! This will be a very scenic but easy trail so all are welcomed to join! No lift is too small! Meet at the Fontana General Store at 930, leave at 10.

Join us for a lunch run to Iron Works Grille in Tellico. Everyone is welcomed and this drive is an easy pace designed so everyone can enjoy. Staging starts at 9:30AM and this drive is around 2 hours and 70 miles on way. This drive goes across the entire Cherohala Skyway and then we will enjoy lunch at Iron Works Grille.

The first cruise to Bridal Veil Falls from the General Store parking lot to take pictures
and hang out. A chill and beautiful way to kick off the event. Bring a bathing suit
as there are many swimming holes to stop and take a dip if you desire after the
falls.
Last year we were detoured through some additional windy roads due to an
accident so be prepared! Even though the pace is chill, please have great tires,
great brakes and a RADIO!!! With approx 50 cars, communication is vital.
Lunch and return trip is on your own or with the drive leader if desired.

You guys have been clamoring for this, we’re super excited about it, and we’ve finally found someone willing to do this!

Is this your first or second time to MATG and don’t know where to start or what the drives are all about? Take a slow (speed limit max) cruise around the what’s referred to as the “Big Looop” for what is usually a 4 hour sight seeing trip over the Cherohala and through Tellico. Drive your own drive, don’t feel obligated to speed like the dickens to keep up; we’ll regroup as often as possible and provide trip notes just in case.

Come join the Big Boys for the V8 and High HP Meetup. Our friends at the TotD Store on 129 at the Crossroads of Time are going to stay open late for fun and frivolity, gas fumes, and growling exhausts. Feel free to bring a grill or snacks this year and no burnouts, please. Lastly, make sure to thank our hosts for staying open late!

Our most popular run at MATG and the “first'' official event of MATG. This is a group drive leaving from the Fontana Village General Store to the Cherohala Skyway. Our arrival time will allow for a gorgeous view of the sunset. Staging starts at 6:30PM and the drive is normally an hour and around 40 miles one way. We pull off at Santeetlah Scenic Pulloff and overflow cars stop at the Sunset Overlook.

Come unleash your inner Elvis and sing your hearts out at the first annual MATG Karaoke Night!

Your host Jamie will open up the Game Room next to Quills at Fontana Village for an evening of singing and fun, with the bar remaining open throughout.

The mic will be live from 19:00 to 22:00, professional singing voice not required.

We’ll meet at the base of Fontana Dam at 70:30 and roll out at 8:00 AM on FRS Channel 7 for a laid‑back, scenic cruise through the Smokies. The route takes us across the park with a planned stop at Newfound Gap to stretch, take photos, and enjoy the overlook. From there, we’ll follow the curves of Little River Road until we exit the park and pick up the Foothills Parkway for more mountain views. We’ll wrap up the run by heading into Townsend for lunch at Burger Master Drive‑In

Do you have an ND and want to experience some of the best roads near Fontana Village? Join us for the ND run out NC 28 to the Crossroads of Time, down 129 through Robbinsville and then back to the Village via a short run up US 74 and back on the northern end of Moonshiner 28. We will be stopping halfway for a group picture at a mountain scenic look out before heading back

Our annual spirited drive to various twisty roads in the area. We have a firm limit of 40 cars allowed due to traffic. Meet at 9:30AM for staging and the drive leaves at 10:00 AM SHARP. Friendly reminder, this is a SPIRITED run and when staging you should be considerate of your own pace.

Join us and unleash your inner FloridaMan on a spirited run down the Tail of the Dragon led by FloridaMan himself! We will be meeting at the General Store in Fontana Village at 930am, with a Driver/Safety Meeting at 955am, and leaving promptly at 10am. We will cruise over to the Tail of the dragon without stopping and continue on through to the Harrison Branch Boat Ramp where we will stop for a group photo. We will be stopped for approx. 30 minutes then continue onto the 129 Hub for lunch. Fair warning the Tail can be fairly busy this time of day and can lead to some slow paces at time. Please be patient and remember this is a public road. We will do our best to have a great time regardless!

This will be a spirited run leaving from the Robbinsville High School parking lot Friday morning. Plan to meet up at 10am so we can leave by 10:30am. The first leg will take us over the mountain on Wayah Rd into Franklin for lunch at Fat Buddies BBQ. Following lunch we will head to some lesser known and higher elevation roads to get away from the "heat" around the Dragon area. The total driving time should be around 4.5 hours not including lunch. Please arrive with your gas tank full.

This mildly spirited beer run takes us through the Nantahala Gorge to 28 towards Franklin dangerously close to Lazy Hiker, but that’s another run. We go on to Wayah Road across to Hoppy Trout in Andrews for beer and pizza. Bonus stop for anyone interested is Buck Bald in Murphy for dessert.

In case the group is split, we’ll regroup west of Franklin at the Wayah/Murphy/Patton Rds intersection so everyone has a chance to catch up.

Please join us for a spirited run starting at the Lone Oak Baptist Church, leading us down past Robbinsville onto Wayah Road. We will stop at an overlook off of Wayah to relax and socialize before taking back off to end up at Pines Recreation Area Glenville Dam for a medium level hike to a waterfall. Total driving time is 2.5 hours. Total hiking distance is 1.4 miles with 650 feet of elevation gain on the return trip.  Bring comfortable grippy shoes, hats, and water for the hike and maybe bathing suits to take a dip in the water! Max people I can bring is around 25-30. 

If you have a radio/walkie-talkie, please bring that to ease communication during the convoy!

Jo, a multi-event veteran, has taken the reins of an organized a meet for fellow female enthusiasts and to take a group picture. After the picture, there will be a drive to a local pineapple whip stand. The picture will take place from 1-1:30 and will leave right after to head for dessert. Meet at the Boat Ramp / Dock on Moonshiner 28 just down the road from the entrance to the Fontana Dam Basin. 

Round 3 this year!  We will leave by 1:45 pm for a twisty spirited journey through a variety of lesser known roads with much less traffic that will bring much joy.

This adventure evolved last year and this year will be every bit as fun!  Numerous stops on the route.  Would suggest bringing snacks. (Eating light is key) 

I have been asked the past two years if there is a prerequisite.  Technically no however, the following is highly suggested for maximum fun and safety: 

Great brakes, great tires and great suspension.  In that order!

A radio is REQUIRED with a charger so you do not end up with no communication. Very important on some of the roads we visit.

A grand old time will be had by all! See you there.

The annual Friday afternoon fun run across Wayah Road for barbecue. Not to be confused with the Spirited runs this is an easy paced ride across one of the great roads in the area. Staging at 3.30 with a 4.00 departure, please let the leaders know how many are planning on eating at the restaurant.

Lights at the Lake is a relaxed late afternoon and evening automotive
meet open to Miatas, other cars, and motorcycles attending MATG 2026.

The event will include a lighting showcase featuring underglow and LED setups, community socializing, photography opportunities, and a
low-car limbo competition with prizes. The goal is to create a fun and
organized community event focused on positive and respectful car
culture.

This will be a slow speed cruise up the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Richland Balsam overlook, the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and views of the Smokie mountains on this run.

For all the NC owners who want to spend a lot of time on curves, this drive is for you.  We will meet at the general store beginning by 730 am (or earlier) to line up and take off on this brisk paced ride.  We will stop at the Maple Springs Observation Deck at the top of the Chasing The Dragon Hillclimb for those keepsake pictures we treasure.  We will be back for the picture.

This drive has grown in size so HIGHLY suggested you have a radio with charger for your car as it improves the experience greatly! And keeps us from getting separated.

Speaking of which, we may have a semi spirited and a moderate pace group just to make it easier to keep the group together better.

The annual raffle starts at 4:00PM and is composed of donated items from our vendors. Raffle tickets are $1 a piece and all proceeds go to our chosen recipient of the year as thanks for showing support for our community and the community we become a part of each year. 

Ahoy, Captains! Tis' the time o' the year to launch the Floatilla! Commodore Dalton invites ye to join the Miata Regatta, a cheerful fleet of boats and their captains and first mates (optional). Ye be meeting at the base of the Fontana Dam at 17:00 on Saturday for fun and shenanigans on the high seas in the most misunderstood of all Miatas! Don't be late, mateys!

Gather your favorite local adult beverages and share them with the crowd at the annual MATG Beer Swap and Wine Tasting during and after the raffle!

Last year this was a blast!  We’ve only picked a starting point. Show up and discuss where you’d like to go with the run leader. The possibilities are endless as there are a lot of roads to pick from!  Departure as soon as the plan is in place. 

This drive quadrupled in size between year one and two so we may have two drive groups this time that may or may not go to the same places or same speeds so as to not have one big group of 60 cars.

Please bring a radio! With charger of course for your vehicle as it improves the experience greatly! And you don’t get separated.

We usually arrive back around dusk or so. It’s part of the fun so come enjoy!

Jo will again be leading a Ladies Run across the Foothills parkway. Staging starts at 6:30 PM, right where 129 and Foothills Parkway intersect and will leave promptly at 7:00. This run will be a casual cruise across the foothills and will take around an hour. The route is 33 miles to the far end of the Foothills. Search for “Foothills Parkway Southwest Entrance Sign Parking #1 in your GPS if you’re unfamiliar with the location (maps integration is being a pain).

When you need another driving fix before you get home, we got you covered.

This is officially round three of a fun drive to some more distant areas. We have three to pick from as there are a number of driving playgrounds away from the Fontana area that are less touristy and memorable. We will do a lunch stop.

There are places to peel off if your destination is not back towards Fontana so stay as long as you can!  If you can make this one, you will be glad you did!
