Kelsey, our social media specialist, will be leading a Ladies Run across the Foothills parkway. Staging starts at 6:30 PM, right where 129 and Foothills Parkway intersect and will leave promptly at 7:00. This run will be a casual cruise across the foothills and will take around an hour. The route is 33 miles to the far end of the Foothills. Search for “Foothills Parkway Southwest Entrance Sign Parking #1 in your GPS if you’re unfamiliar with the location (maps integration is being a pain).

Gather your favorite local adult beverages and share them with the crowd at the annual MATG Beer Swap and Wine Tasting during and after the raffle!

Event will end when everyone finishes.

The annual raffle starts at 4:00PM and is composed of donated items from our vendors. Raffle tickets are $1 a piece and all proceeds go to our chosen recipient of the year as thanks for showing support for our community and the community we become a part of each year.

A nice Saturday drive for lunch and a beer (for those of age) to Lazy Hiker Brewing in Franklin, NC via US 129, US 74 and NC 28. Great scenery abounds along the twisties, join up to see some roads beyond the Dragon!

For all the NC owners who want to spend a lot of time on curves, this drive is for you. Everyone please be fueled up and meet at the General Store to line up and take off on this brisk paced ride.  We’ll visit a mix of roads that will bring many smiles to your face.  Will stop briefly at the Maple Springs Observation Deck at the top of the Chasing the Dragon Hillclimb for those keepsake pictures we treasure. 

Do you have an ND and want to experience some of the best roads near Fontana Village? Join us for the inaugural ND run out NC 28 to the Crossroads of Time, down 129 through Robbinsville and then back to the Village in time for the photo via a short run up US 74 and back on the northern end of Moonshiner 28.

Back for a second year, there will be a Saturday morning disc golf round held at Fontana Village Resort's beautiful disc golf course. This year we will do a random doubles format from the short tees in order to save time and give everyone a chance at prizes! $5 buy in with an optional $1 ace pot. If no ace is hit during the round, we will do a throw off on hole one. Tee off will be at 8am in order to give time for the group photo. Registration will be at the corner of Welsh and Woods Rd at 7am.

Grab your partner and sign up for an evening of fun with all your Miata Friends. $10 a person or $20 a couple, located right in vendor alley Friday evening. If you don’t have a partner we will find you one. Proceeds will benefit Blount County and or Graham County Rescue. Sign up sheets will be located at the registration tent or at the Palm Breeze Detailing Booth. Even if you don’t play, please come on out and pick a team and cheer them on. Bring a chair your beverage and be ready to have some Dragon Slayer Fun with our Miata Enthusiasts with a game of Cornhole!

The Friday Afternoon Fat Buddies run across Wayah road. This drive is over an hour and is 50 miles one way. This should not be confused with the Friday Morning Spirited Run. This will be run at a fun pace, but not a fast, highly spirited run. The route is Stage at 3:30 PM and will leave by 4:00 PM.

A drive down towards Highlands, NC via Moonshiner/Hellbender 28 to see one of the area's attractions. While you can no longer drive behind the falls, you can still walk behind them for a great picture! After checking out the falls you can stay and grab food at Highlands Smokehouse or head back with to FVR with a small group via Wayah Rd.

A quick meet up at Robbinsville Middle School and leaving town south via 129, up 74 and back across NC 28 to the base of the dam for a quick photo! Continuing down 28 to the Crossroads of Time and across the infamous 318 turns of the Tail of the Dragon and ending at the beginning of it all, Tabcat Bridge and boat launch. This spirited run will be a fun addition to your Friday in driving nirvana.

Aivy, one of our event regulars, has organized a meet for fellow female enthusiasts and to take a group picture. After the picture, there will be a drive to a local pineapple whip stand. The picture will take place from 1-1:30 and will leave right after to head for dessert. Meet at the Boat Ramp / Dock on Moonshiner 28 near Fontana Dam. 

Our annual spirited drive to various twisty roads in the area. We have a firm limit of 40 cars allowed due to traffic. Meet at 9:30AM for staging and the drive leaves at 10:00 AM SHARP. Friendly reminder, this is a SPIRITED run and when staging you should be considerate of your own pace. 

Our most popular run at MATG and the “first'' official event of MATG. This is a group drive leaving from the Fontana Village General Store to the Cherohala Skyway. Our arrival time will allow for a gorgeous view of the sunset. Staging starts at 6:30PM and the drive is normally an hour and around 40 miles one way. We pull off at Santeetlah Scenic Pulloff and overflow cars stop at the Sunset Overlook. 

Anyone with or inspiring to build a V8 Miata or a higher HP Miata is welcome! Let's hangout at the HQ 129!

Join us for a lunch run to Iron Works Grille in Tellico. Everyone is welcomed and this drive is an easy pace designed so everyone can enjoy. Staging starts at 9:30AM and this drive is around 2 hours and 70 miles on way. This drive goes across the entire Cherohala Skyway and then we will enjoy lunch at Iron Works Grille.
