Has anyone heard if there is going to be any type of entertainment (music) at Tapoco? I remember one year they had a Bluegrass group playing there.

Maybe the "BlueGrass Band again? ....... They were good and were good sports!
If not ............ I'll be happy just talking with all 1000 of our close Miata friends that will be there!
Me .... with a beer in one hand and my pipe in another! Having the time of my life!
Can't wait!
Joe

I'm bringing the iPod and computer speakers if that counts! We can move it outside if there is power anywhere.

I play in a couple of different bands. One bluegrass/ Gospel and one everything else. So my first thought was, hey let's see who else in the group plays, and get a jam session one night! That thought was immediatly followed by; where will I put my gear? Oh well, somebody crank up the Ipod....
Steve
P.S.
Dan,
My valve cover looks great! See you next week.

Man I am sorry I missed this thread. I was at the Tapoco and started searching for a piano. I found a decent Wurlitzer? grand in the lounge but folks were watching TV so I decided not to bother them.
I play in 4 bands as well as a duet and solo. I play everything from funk to R&B-soul, to James Taylor, Van the man, Rock, Country, and have even played in an imitation bluegrass band. Maybe we can hook up next year and find a few others. I can carry my practice rig in my Miata, only there is no room for a passenger.

Sure hope you'll play for us a bit at Tapoco next year. Maybe Friday night in the TV lounge? I'll bet folks would rather listen to some good music than watch TV if you'd just ask them.

Just got back from a gig in Boston, and will be playing in Nantucket the end of the month. I will certainly be pushy next year, I bet we can get a few folks to even sing along.
Look forward to next year.

You won't be able to stop them from singing along. They'll still be singing long after you've gone to bed

I believe we should make it the official sport of MATG. Everyone that played had a blast.

Blueskeys,
I mostly play Bluegrass instuments, but I enjoy playing all styles of music. I also play some blues on the harp. A couple of those would fit in the glove box. I could bring an instrument or two but my wife would have to stay home......hummm
